The Golden State Warriors not only lost the National Basketball Association championship on Thursday night, but they lost another star player late in the game when Klay Thompson suffered a knee injury after landing awkwardly in the third quarter. He went down in pain and was heading to the locker room before returning to the floor to shoot two free throws, which he made.

Thompson was helped off the court in the third quarter after suffering the injury, but returned from the tunnel to shoot free throws.

It wasn't a dirty play by Green or anything, it was just a weird landing that caused his leg to bend in a direction it's not supposed to go. Had he left he would have been ineligible to come back in the game. He hit both attempts and then went to the locker room after DeMarcus Cousins fouled to give him a chance to get off the court.

Woods finished with 11 straight pars for a 1-under 70 on Thursday, leaving him five shots behind leader Justin Rose . Piercy started fast with an eagle at the par-5 sixth to move to 5 under before double bogeying the eighth hole.

He was seen leaving the arena on crutches.

Thompson was leading the Warriors with 30 points in the game at the time of his injury and finished as their leading scorer.
