1B Ryan Zimmerman made his return from the 10-day injured list in the Nationals' 3-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers Friday night; he went 1-for-3. Voth was 3-5 with a 4.40 ERA, a 1.353 WHIP, 15 walks and 68 strikeouts over 61.1 innings in 12 starts for Triple-A Fresno in the Pacific Coast League prior to his recall.

Daniel Norris (2-7) was removed the game after five innings with a cut on his pitching thumb.

Well, Voth did well in his 2019 debut, allowing four hits in his 6.0 innings and two earned runs. Misc.: Worked five innings or more in every start. This is the first meeting of the season for these two teams. Soto is 13-for-34 with two doubles, two triples, three home runs and 11 RBIs over the last 10 games for Washington.

After a slow start, the Washington Nationals have moved above.500 at the halfway point in the season. The Tigers are 4-9 in Norris' starts.
