Christian Bale and Matt Damon hit the tracks in first Ford v Ferrari trailer

The film is being helmed by James Mangold, the director of arguably one of the best superhero films ever (Logan). He's got Christian Bale and Matt Damon starring, and the first trailer has roared from the starting line.

The story of Carroll Shelby and the Ford Motor Company taking on the racing establishment that was Scuderia Ferrari is well-known among vehicle enthusiasts, and later this year Ford v. Ferrari will bring that epic battle to life on the big screen.

Shelby and Miles were dispatched by Henry Ford II and Lee Iacocca themselves to build an entirely new vehicle from scratch that could finally defeat Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Also, he has a temperamental British driver Ken Miles (Bale) to test it. Featuring Matt Damon and Christian Bale you can check out the Ford v Ferrari trailer in the player below!
