That means that uninstalling iOS apps will also remove their WatchOS counterparts.

For now users still have to use their iPhone to review the terms and conditions before the update can be installed on their watch, but eventually, the altered update process can lead to Apple Watch becoming completely independent from the iPhone in the future.

The latest beta of Apple's watchOS 6 has revealed some new features, one of those is the ability to delete built in apps from your device. In fact, watchOS 6 itself adds a number of new apps like Voice Memos, Audiobooks, Calculator, and more.

However, core system apps like iMessage and Heart Rate can not be uninstalled. If you change your mind later, all those pre-installed apps will be found on Apple's App Store. This dedicated App Store coupled with the new APIs in watchOS 6 should help in the app ecosystem for the wearable to flourish.
