Alison Riske 2019 Libéma Open

Top-seeded Kiki Bertens will play for her third title of the season after dispatching Kazakhstan qualifier Elena Rybakina in the semifinals of Libema Open at 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.

World No.4 Bertens triumphed 6-4 6-4 to reach the showpiece without dropping a set on home soil and Alison Riske is up next for the Dutchwoman. Rybakina, now ranked 134, entered this year's Libéma Open with four career tour-level wins to her name and she had never played a main draw match on grass before.

Riske, who is chasing her first title in five years, reached her second final of the year with a hard-fought 6-4 3-6 7-6 (5) win over Russian Veronika Kudermetova.

The American faced only six break points but the problem was she lost serve on every one of those, converting six out of 15 chances she created and missing the opportunity to close the match earlier.

Bertens broke Riske's serve and raced to a 4-1 lead, but the American was able to break back and level the set at 4-4, before saving five championship points to force a tiebreak.

The Croatian will face Tatjana Maria - a straight-sets victor over Ajla Tomljanovic - while top seed Caroline Garcia battled past Elena-Gabriela Ruse in three sets and will take on Jennifer Brady, a 7-5 6-3 winner against fourth seed Maria Sakkari.

Vekic dominated the final two sets, which included a rain delay in the final set.
