Nicolas Pepe's agent has claimed that this client is yet to assess his future, thereby confirming the transfer from Lille.

Pepe is one of the most in-demand young attackers in Europe after enjoying a stunning season with Lille previous year that saw him contribute 23 goals and 12 assists in his 41 appearances in all competitions making him one of the deadliest attackers in Ligue 1.

The English giants will face competition from overseas with Bayern Munich linked in the media recently while the newspaper says Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping a close eye on the Ivory Coast international's situation.

Time has now come for the 24-year-old to take a decision on his future, as clubs wait for his reply. Whether it is Lille, the buying club and us.

The Ivory Coast worldwide scored 22 goals in Ligue 1 and registered 11 assists, but he lost out to Kylian Mbappe for the division's Player of the Year award.

And Pepe's agent Samir Khiat says the player - valued at around €65 million (£58m/$73m) - is still considering his options.

His agent, Samir Khiat, further fuelled talk of Pepe's exit in an interview on French TV show L'Equipe Mercato.

'The aim is for him to sign in the right place.

"Today, all parties must be there". There are exchanges and discussions. "For him, the most important thing is to be desired and to go to the right club, the one in which he will play and continue his progression".

PSG have yet to make a formal bid for Pepe, but if Neymar leaves the Ligue 1 champions for Barcelona, finding the money for this deal probably won't be a problem.

In other Gunners' transfer news they could face losing out on another summer target William Saliba.

It is understood that Spurs have offered the same amount as their north London neighbours but with better add-ons.
