For now Djokovic will not care, and if anything will use a perceived lack of fanfare for his incredible feats as fuel to keep collecting Grand Slam titles and move past Federer and Nadal to the top of the all-time list.

"Now, after 16 majors, people have got to wake up to the greatness of Novak Djokovic".

Sheer bloody-mindedness, as well as outrageous talent, is the reason Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, aged nearly 38, 33 and 32 respectively, remain out of reach for their pursuers and the reason they share 54 Grand Slam titles, including the last 11. The chase is really and truly on now.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Marca, uncle Toni gave his thoughts on the result and said Djokovic's win was beneficial to stop Federer extending his lead. In 2014, Djokovic won 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 5-7, 6-4 and in 2015, Djokovic won 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3.

It was a wonderful Men's Singles Wimbledon final in so many ways.

Djokovic defeated Federer via a fifth-set tiebreaker to earn the £2.35 million (about $2.95 million) winner's share at the All-England Club. Rafael Nadal, with 18, separates the pair.

At 4 hours and 57 minutes, it was the longest Wimbledon final ever played and settled by a final-set tiebreak for the first time. Against each other? Djokovic is 4-0. Djokovic is by far the most consistent of the "Big Three' at the Slams".

"It had all the ingredients that it could've had, with Federer's two match-points, the length [of the match]. although the data shows that the 2008 final was better". One statistic that went in Djokovic's favor however was unforced errors as Federer had 62, while Djokovic had 52. Again, Djokovic prevented it. The set went onto a tie-break and Djokovic came out triumphant winning the set 7-6.Facing a must-win set to stay in the match, Federer attacked early on and disrupted Djokovic with his serves.

Iran says may 'reverse' nuclear programme to pre-deal status
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif speaks during a press conference in Tehran , Iran, June 10, 2019. French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said the Europeans must remain united.

"A mental battle, more than anything else", Vajda said. The world number one saved two match points to clinch a fifth Wimbledon title and 16th major on Sunday, shattering Federer's bid to become the oldest Grand Slam champion in the longest final ever contested at the tournament.

Federer beat Nadal in the semi-finals to set up a showdown with Djokovic on Centre Court.

Djokovic has strengthened his case for being part of the conversation.

He has now won four of the last five slams, only failing to succeed at Roland Garros.

Against Nadal, he is 28-26.

Marathon men's finals have been commonplace at Wimbledon as well. Those two guys [are] probably one of the biggest reasons I still compete at this level.

After struggling for form and fitness in the wake of his 2016 French Open triumph, which ensured he held all four slam titles at once, Djokovic has dominated at the highest level once again since winning Wimbledon past year. "Whether I'm going to be able to do it or not, I don't know".
