Bianca was known online as an "e-girl" and had built up a small following across her two Instagram accounts, @escty and @beegtfo.

Police say a suspect in the killing of a 17-year-old girl in upstate ny posted pictures of her corpse online.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Utica police said it appeared the pair had met on Instagram two months ago.

Clark is accused of slitting Devins' throat after he and Devins returned to Utica from a trip to New York City where they attended a Nicole Dollenganger concert together, according to Rolling Stone. Police believe that some sort of an argument between the two started that precipitated the incident that followed. The investigation revealed that the argument progressed until Clark took a large, black-handled knife, and used it to stab Devins, ultimately causing her death. Clark and Devins's relationship may not have been based on Internet fame.

According to some social media users and screenshots they shared, Clark accessed Devins' account on the gaming social platform Discord and allegedly posted pictures of the deceased teen there, too.

Images of the victim's body are reported to have appeared on Instagram hidden behind a sensitive content filter, but would become visible to those who then chose to view it.

In his own 911 call, the male "was alluding [to] the fact that he was going to harm himself".

The Government has also published a white paper on online harms which proposes stricter regulation on technology firms, including larger fines and criminal liability for executives if platforms are found to have failed to adequately protect their users from data breaches and exposure to illegal and risky content.

Michael Curley identified the homicide victim as teenager Bianca Devins and described the man as a suspect.

Bianca's family also released the following statement to HollywoodLife: "We are very grateful for the outpouring of love and sympathy we have received from our Friends, Family, Bianca's Friends and the whole community".

The tragedy fed the hashtag #RIPBianca and fueled online outrage about the images that showed up and were shared on Discord, Instagram and other social media platforms. A screenshot posted to Internet forum Kiwi Farms also confirms reports of Devins' sister's comments on Instagram, which read: "it wasn't just an "internet boyfriend" this was a close family friend whom we've met and trusted so much".

Even after Clark's account was disabled, and while condolences poured into Devins' account, fake accounts cropped up offering to share the photos of the murder. He was arraigned and is now in the Oneida County Jail.
