Frank Lampard hints at Chelsea frustration after Bohemians draw in managerial debut

Given how much the average Chelsea supporter pays to go to the games or watch them on premium TV all year, the fact that what is effectively a preseason fitness session is being charged for is a bit of a farce.

Chelsea FC star Azpilicueta has now explained how Lampard intends to alter the west London side's style of play in his first season in charge.

Lampard is Chelsea FC's record goal-scorer and the retired England midfielder won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League at Stamford Bridge.

"Players were having too many touches, sometimes seven, eight touches and it slows the game down".

Games against Red Bull Salzburg and Reading follow, finishing up with a clash with Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Chelsea legend only took his first Blues training session last week.

Chelsea kick off their league campaign against Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 11.

Arsenal want another centre-back despite sealing £27m Saliba
Besides raining on Arsenal's parade, Toby Alderweireld's future has also prompted the Lillywhites to make a move on Saliba . And it would only rub salt into the wounds if Saliba chose their dearest rivals Spurs over them.

"I'm really looking forward to the new season".

"The quicker we get there the better".

"I've enjoyed it, we've got great support over here".

"This game was very early but the other players are back other than the injured boys and Pulisic is not with us yet but you will see some of them at the weekend", Lampard added.

Lampard led Derby County to the Championship play-off final last term before the Rams lost 2-1 to Aston Villa in the Wembley showpiece.

However, he has had just one full season in management and is yet to answer certain question about his coaching ability. Chelsea's transfer ban means that Lampard will not be able to strengthen his squad this summer (although they were able to make the signing of Mateo Kovacic permanent).
