Despite the usual reports from the dressing room of disharmony between players and manager, Azpilicueta claimed the Chelsea players do not choose their managers.

He said: "I'm looking forward to working with him a lot. Every year gets harder and harder and we have to be ready".

The new Blues boss recruited Cole as a player past year when he signed him for Derby from LA Galaxy.

César Azpilicueta believes Chelsea approach the Premier League season with a renewed sense of unity as a result of Frank Lampard's appointment as the squad embrace the new head coach's insistence they take responsibility and mount a challenge despite setbacks over recent months.

"At that moment no one could imagine a Chelsea side winning a trophy without players of their quality and we have to try to keep the level and replicate the success all the players in the past have had".

"We know the fans can make the difference".

Calif. extends healthcare coverage to undocumented young adults
Newsom and Democratic legislative leaders say they plan to further expand coverage to more adults in the years to come. Since 2016, California has allowed children under 18 to receive taxpayer-backed healthcare despite immigration status.

And, when asked questions about Lampard's experience, he declared: "The whole experience he has as a player, playing at the highest level, under a lot of very good managers, his personality, behaviour and experience - there is nothing to be anxious about as a manager". No manager before has been willing, but something tells us that Lampard's arrival could be the making of him. "We're not going to win anything thinking about the past or complaining".

In his very first game in charge of Chelsea, Frank Lampard was undone by a late goal against Irish side Bohemians as the game ended 1-1. Michy Batshuayi struck early before the Londoners conceded an equaliser in the 89th minute but this could not detract from the energising effect of the new manager.

Frank Lampard may not have the managerial experience that his top six counterparts posses, but he could be the ideal manager to help Batshuayi fulfil his potential.

"He was here for a very long and very successful period, and always set an example: how he wanted to break every record or improve himself in every session". 'Now, the next stage for him is as a manager and he is our boss.

Pedro said: "We've been training really hard with Frank this week".

"Players were having too many touches, sometimes seven, eight touches and it slows the game down".
