Police hunt two men in London after Tube tear gas attack

Police have started a manhunt after a cannister of tear gas was thrown onto a packed Tube train in London today.

A number of people were treated at the scene by paramedics on Sunday morning for coughing and shortness of breath after the pair released what police believe to be "CS gas".

There are no further concerns for their health, they said.

Officers have urged anyone "who witnessed the incident, or who knows the identity of the men [in the released images]" to contact them by text on 61016, or by calling them directly on 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 171 of 20/07/19.

The 26-year-old said at first he thought the men were drunk "because they were trying to frantically get into the carriage" while the train was moving northbound between Green Park and Oxford Circus.

I feel so lucky to have met so many people and so many fans of this show; it has brought so many people together. It's the end! But at the end of the day, it's absolutely fine.

"No further health concerns".

Meanwhile, a TFL official said: 'We've been assured that the substance was not toxic, the BTP are aware of this customer incident and are investigating it fully'.

CS gas is more commonly known a tear gas and can cause severe eye and respiratory pain.

The incident took place at 9:13am on Saturday morning on board a Victoria line train, which had stopped at Oxford Circus station in central London.

This is a breaking news story, more to follow.
