After long weeks of negotiation, De Ligt is expected to arrive in Turin on Tuesday night and receive a medical exam early in the next morning.

Reports said that the 19-year-old Dutch worldwide, who captained Ajax to the semifinals of the Champions League, had agreed personal terms with Juventus and would arrive in Turin on Tuesday and undergo a medical on Wednesday.

In his three seasons at Ajax, he won the Eredivisie and the Dutch Cup, and was a Europa League finalist in 2017.

While his move from Dutch club Ajax has yet to be officially announced, Juventus posted on their social media a video of de Ligt getting off a plane in Turin and saying "I am really happy to be here".

Serie A champions Juve are the team who look set to secure the teenage centre-back, however, for a reported fee of €66 million ($74m, £59m). I was a little shocked, so I laughed.

Police believe that some sort of an argument between the two started that precipitated the incident that followed. In a statement posted on Facebook, Utica police said it appeared the pair had met on Instagram two months ago.

"I didn't understand him at first".

Ajax are said to be eyeing América defender Edson Alvarez as a replacement for De Ligt.

"So soon after the game you are not at all concerned with it".

The former Ajax star was heavily linked to multiple clubs including the likes of PSG, Barcelona and Manchester United.

De Ligt will link up with the squad managed by ex-Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, who took over over from Max Allegri in the summer.
