Don't need new players for success: Chelsea's Lampard

Chelsea's Ethan Ampadu set to leave on loan as Aston Villa eye move for teenager

Chelsea's Ethan Ampadu set to leave on loan as Aston Villa eye move for teenager

The Wales global is viewed as one of the club's most promising young talents, and some had expected him to play a part under youth advocate Lampard at Stamford Bridge in 2019/20.

"I know the club very well, I know the players very well".

The Blues are banned from signing players for the next two transfer windows but that will not affect Chelsea's plan going into the new season according to Lampard.

"With Callum, of course, I want him to sign [a new deal] and stay here", Lampard said, speaking ahead of Chelsea's friendly against Kawasaki Frontale on Friday.

Chelsea boss Lampard has now indicated that Ampadu will be allowed to leave the club in search of regular first-team football, having been excluded from the squad for their pre-season tour of Asia, with Aston Villa being linked with a move for the teenage centre-back.

The fact is that Ethan is too good for the Championship right now, and if we can find a Premier League team where he will play regularly, we can't turn that option down.

The Blues have already tied fellow home-grown stars Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount to fresh terms, with the two highly-rated midfielders penning five-year deals.

As a group, sell-side analysts expect that Goldman Sachs BDC will post 1.99 earnings per share for the current fiscal year. The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc operates as an investment banking, securities, and investment management company worldwide.

"I'm very happy with the squad and determined for us to be successful".

Chelsea are now on pre-season tour preparing for the 2019/20 Premier League season and also the Champions League in which they beat St Patrick's 4-0 last Saturday. When we have the ball, I want to move the ball quickly and create chances and win games and feel like we are playing football that we enjoy.

Lampard, who is the club's record goalscorer from his time as a player, was appointed Chelsea's new manager this month.

"But to be absolutely clear, they now have to make the difference".

"Everybody knows I have a keen eye for the younger players in the academy", Lampard said.

"I said that before I came here - just talking generally - and I said it when I first got here".

It awaits to be seen if Cocu will look to rekindle the previous management's interest in Ampadu, or if he looks elsewhere to bring in some new defenders.
