Ezekiel Elliott Considering Holding Out

At the time, cops described the incident as a "battery" - since Ezekiel clearly used his body to push Johnson into a metal gate, ultimately knocking him to the ground.

With allegations now being tossed around on the two sides, there's a decent shot this case is as yet going to hang over Elliott's the point at which the Cowboys report for preparing camp on July 26.

It remains to be seen what Dallas will do in the event Zeke does hold out, but we don't expect them to actually move him. Nevertheless, Elliott is likely looking for a new contract that exceeds $10 million per season.

But now, according to Pro Football Talk, Elliott has privately claimed he will hold out of the Cowboys' training camp unless he's given a new contract.

After former Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray led the league in rushing five years ago (and in turn set a single-season franchise record that still stands), the team let him leave via free agency.

"At the end of the day, we want to get him as many touches as we can". The only year, his sophomore season, in which he didn't get over one thousand yards was his suspension season where he played in only ten games. Grady Jarrett is expecting a new deal, Robie Gould got a new contract, and Melvin Gordon asked the Los Angeles Chargers to put up or shut up with his deal.

Tetsuya Mizuguchi's musical re-imagining of Tetris , Tetris Effect , will arrive on PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive. There's also a ton of new settings to tweak, spanning particle density, texture filtering and more.

In a statement, Elliott's legal team said, "Over the course of the past several weeks, Mr. Elliott has been the target of extortion". People think you can do that and you can't.

"We should get paid", Gordon continued.

Robinson noted "a big part of this is whether the two sides are feeling good about the progress of talks" after the "lines of communication have been open with Zeke's camp for more than a month" as Elliott also dealt with the aftermath of an incident at a music festival in Las Vegas earlier this year in which he was handcuffed but not arrested. Due to the wear and tear of the position, teams view running backs as an expendable position.

After just three seasons Elliott has 4,048 rushing yards off 868 carries and has a total of 34 career touchdowns and during the regular season he is now averaging over 21 carries a game.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones has previously indicated they won't rush to sign the star. And while a holdout certainly would put the Cowboys in a tough position, it's not hard to see Elliott's perspective. He may not hold out of training camp if the Cowboys react and start working on a deal.
