The Memphis Grizzlies guard was ejected from his team's Summer League game against the Boston Celtics on Thursday after picking up a second flagrant foul.

In a vacuum, there's an argument to be made that Allen made contact with Williams' head accidentally. The second-year forward was also assessed a technical foul earlier in the game.

The deciding call came after Allen hit Celtics rookie Grant Williams in the head while contesting a shot in the paint.

While the entire basketball world was paying attention to Russell Westbrook getting traded to the Houston Rockets on Thursday night, the Las Vegas Summer League action continued on unabated.

Picked 21st overall in the 2018 draft out of Duke, Allen was known for borderline play during college, repeatedly drawing punishment for tripping opponents during games, including a one-game suspension during his senior season.

Building a reputation for being a cheap and dirty player during his time at Duke, Allen has continued to live up to those expectations so far during his time in the National Basketball Association.

Following the frustration of this play, Allen hacked Williams just seconds later to pick up his second flagrant foul, resulting in his ejection from the game.
