Football fans from around the world were quick to react to the eye-catching design, though it was quickly pointed out that if this is indeed the shirt that Huddersfield would be wearing this term it would contravene Football League regulations in terms of the size of a sponsor's logo.

New sponsors, Paddy Power, made light of the fact that they had joined allegiance with the West Yorkshire club on Twitter two days ago, releasing the following clip...

It's led many to believe that it's all just a PR stunt.

"We're sure Huddersfield fans will be delighted with this season's kit".

The Terriers revealed the shirt on Wednesday and wore it in their friendly with Rochdale that evening.

"The FA has clear Kit & Advertising regulations for all club match day kits", a statement reads.

Huddersfield Town announced the kit on their official Twitter account earlier this morning, however, debate continues to rage on regarding the authenticity of the strip.

Inzamam did admit that the team could have done better during his tenure and the players have more potential than their results reflected.

Huddersfield have said it will be their home kit for the upcoming season and confirmed it will go on sale on Saturday.

The design, which features a massive "Paddy Power" logo etched diagonally across the front of the strip, is believed by many viewers to be fake as disbelief rages through the fanbase.

A fellow user mocked the new kit for looking "like a sponsored hen do" while another ranted: "That has to be one of the worst kits I've ever seen".

The betting company are very much known for their pranks, but is this one of them?

Huddersfield's press release did look pretty legitimate, though, and commercial director Sean Jarvis also spoke positively about the kit.

"We feel the diagonal design will be the most distinctive sponsor logo in the Football League - appropriate for the most distinctive sponsor there is".
