And Veronica Mars fans got quite the thrill during Friday's panel for the revival.

We already knew that Tina Majorino wouldn't be appearing in Hulu's Veronica Mars revival as Mac, Veronica's (Kristen Bell) tech-savvy best friend, due to scheduling conflicts.

There, star Kristen Bell herself announced that the show would be available on Hulu one week early - ready to stream ASAP. Bell, who turned 39 on July 18, called it Hulu's birthday gift to her, as crowds went wild. The new season runs eight episodes and has Mars Investigations looking into a series of bombings that puts Veronica (Bell) and her father Keith (Enrico Colantoni) in the middle of a battle between Neptune's wealthy elites who want to put an end to the spring break revelry and the working class that relies on the tourism dollars.

Gibraltar extends detention of Iranian tanker for a month
So far the British government has only said that it is "assessing the situation following reports of an incident in the Gulf". Iran has vowed to respond to what it calls Britain's "piracy" over the seizure of the tanker.

In addition, the new Veronica Mars will introduce a series of new characters, including Bell's The Good Place costar Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Oscar victor J.K. Simmons, and comedian Patton Oswalt. Veronica Mars has been the little engine that could, using its cult following to propel it to three seasons, a movie, and now a fourth season.

Veronica Mars originally aired on UPN and The CW; the first episode premiered on September 22, 2004, and the last episode aired on May 22, 2007.

"I told Rob that I will do Veronica Mars until it's Murder, She Wrote", Bell said, "I will keep doing this show until everyone in Neptune is dead". Eventually, a fundraising campaign launched by Bell and Thomas earned enough dough to make the project, which was released in March 2014.
