What is the future course of action, that is in the hands of the selection committee. Dhoni is a honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the parachute regiment of the territorial army. But if you ask me, they should manage Dhoni well from here on if they want him in the T20 World Cup as well.

Dhoni's glovework, however, still remains top class and questions have been raised by former cricketers, pundits and local media if it was the right time for him to step away and help India groom his successor.

The official, however, made it clear that Dhoni is not retiring from cricket at the moment. Subsequently, we've laid down few more plans and thought of giving as many opportunities to Pant and to see he is groomed. In the recently concluded World Cup, India were knocked out in the semi-final.

Saha last featured in a Test for India against South Africa in January 2018 following which he was ruled out of the bilateral series because of a shoulder injury. The team management is giving vast importance to the Test series as it kickstarts the two-year World Test Championship cycle which will culminate with a final in London in 2021.

The Test squad also has nearly the same look from the last time with a lot of them picking themselves and Bumrah coming back for the Test Championship.

India Test squad: Virat Kohli (captain), Ajinkya Rahane, Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Wriddhiman Saha, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav.

Wolves make stunning move for AC Milan striker Patrick Cutrone
He is tied to a long-term contract with the club that expires only in the summer of 2023. The Express & Star says Wolves are hoping to complete a swoop for Cutrone.

"Dhoni still has cricket left in him".

One of the biggest points of discussion before the announcement of the squad was whether or not MS Dhoni would be a part of it.

Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rahul Chahar, Navdeep Saini and Krunal Pandya are among the ones who have been playing for India "A" against West Indies "A". The 19-year-old is a cousin of Deepak Chahar, a fairly established first-class name who has played an ODI and a T20 for India. In the longer format, KS Bharat was very, very close to getting selected.

"We have taken India "A" performances into consideration", said Prasad. "That's what we have given to Saha", said Prasad.

The Indians will first play the limited-overs series - three T20Is and three ODIs between August 3 and August 14 - before starting their campaign in the Test championship with two Tests in Antigua and Jamaica.
