The arrestees range in rank from E-2 to E-4 and were all from the same unit - 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment. NCIS is also investigating the two Marines' actions, Motz told NPR, and they are now confined at Camp Pendleton.

The Reds have beaten off interest from the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and RB Leipzig to agree a deal with the 16-year-old.

Described by Fulham manager, Scott Parker, as a "a special talent" earlier in the year, Elliot's schoolboy contract in west London expired in June and he will now join up with the Liverpool squad for their training camp in Evian.

The England Under-17 global became the youngest player in Premier League history when he appeared against Wolves in May aged 16 years and 30 days.

'I'll work as hard as I possibly can for the club and I feel Anfield is the flawless place for me to develop and progress as a player'.

He then broke the Premier League record in May 2019 against Wolves, aged 16 years and 30 days - the first player born in 2003 to feature in the division.
