Gatwick Airport suffers complete failure of air traffic control

Air Navigation Solutions (ANS), a private company, has controlled plane movements at the airport since 2016.

According to a tweet issued Wednesday evening July 10, 2019, London's Gatwick Airport has suspended all flights as a result of "an air traffic control systems issue" in the control tower, without giving any further details.

The airport said it had experienced a problem with its air traffic control systems.

The European air safety organization Eurocontrol, however, nearly simultaneously issued a tweet stating that both arrivals and departures from the airport will be unavailable until 10pm due to an "electronic flight processing failure".

The YouTube app is finally back for Fire TV devices
With an official app, you can use Alexa to launch the app, control playback, and search YouTube for specific topics or videos. Chromecast Ultra users are being given access to 4,000 titles included with Prime Video at no additional cost.

But after around three hours of disruption, the airport released a statement that flights are back to normal.

The problems occur just as the summer rush has started, with the airport gearing up got its busiest time of year. "We apologise and advise passengers to check flight info with your airline".

The Guardian reported that the cancellations and delays affected flights in other European cities, including Gothenburg, Sweden; Bilbao, Spain; and Bergen, Norway.
