As work continues on Space Jam 2, word has come out that the project has a new director, as Terence Nance is officially out, citing "creative differences".

Michael Jordan teamed up with Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes characters in 1996's "Space Jam", which grossed $230 million worldwide.

LeBron James finds himself in the familiar position of welcoming aboard a new boss, this time it's happening in the Los Angeles Lakers star's acting career, as the Hollywood Reporter reported Tuesday that Malcolm D. Lee will take over for Nance as director of the James-led "Space Jam 2".

Young Thug Says Lil Nas X Shouldn't Have Come Out as Gay
In the BBC interview, Lil Nas X said he had received some homophobic abuse after coming out but that he was "not angry" about it. Most recently, he brought a variant with both that lovable yodeler Young Thug, and of course, WalMart's very own Mason Ramsey .

Deadline exclusively announced last week that Don Cheadle was joining James in the live action-animation hybrid. Besides Don Cheadle, the movie also stars Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek: Discovery) and National Basketball Association stars Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, and Klay Thompson.

With the National Basketball Association offseason still ongoing, Thompson was seen on set during filming early in production.

There's been a Space Jam 2 shake-up. Lee's recent credits include "Girls Trip", "Night School" and "Barbershop: The Final Cut". Both films were box office successes.

Terence Nance, the creator, director and star of HBO's Random Acts of Flyness, was attached to direct Space Jam 2 for Warner Bros. and LeBron James' Springhill Entertainment.
