Massive Real Madrid star close to joining Arsenal…but…

AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur were both previously linked with a move for Ceballos but, according to AS, Arsenal are now the frontrunners after reaching an understanding with Real over a loan deal.

"He understands that he will have limited opportunities under Zinedine Zidane", wrote Spanish sports daily Marca.

The midfielder is believed to see Arsenal as an ideal club at which to reignite his career, with Ceballos reported to like the idea of living in London and working under compatriot Unai Emery.

Arsenal would reportedly have to pay his full wages, but despite the Gunners having an inflated wage bill, this should be no problem, especially for a player of Ceballos' calibre. It is not an exorbitant figure and fits perfectly with the Gunners' current financial position, which prevents them from signing him on a permanent basis, hence the Ceballos move suits them perfectly.

Though the data aren't final, the estimates are a refreshing change from years of sizable increases in fatal drug overdoses. Fentanyl is said to be up to 100 times stronger than morphine and has flooded the illegal USA drugs market.

Arsenal are hoping to close the Spaniard's arrival this week. The talks are advanced, the terms of the deal have been agreed, and all that is missing is the final OK from Real Madrid.

Due to the influx of stars at the La Liga side, a number of players will need to seek first team football elsewhere for the coming campaign, with Ceballos one such player who is set for a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 22-year-old made just 13 starts in La Liga last season, and has stated his desire to play more regularly to aid his development and earn his place in the Spain squad for the European Championships next summer.
