All of these reports were a bit odd, not because they existed - it's not hard to have predicted Harden and Paul butting heads - but because of how strongly they have been denied by everyone involved with the organization.

"In the NBA, especially at the highest level of basketball, you got to find ways to get better every single year", Harden said. "Obviously, we were teammates for (three) years".

At the very least, everyone in Houston has said all the right things about the situation between their current star and their former star.

"All the negative media stuff and all that stuff that was going on and running, it wasn't true. Me and Chris had constant communication and we're good". We're unlikely to ever get the real story from behind the scenes now that Paul and Harden are no longer teammates.

Harden, speaking at a charity event, told the newspaper he wants to spend the rest of the National Basketball Association off-season preparing to play with a new-look Rockets, who acquired Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook in a trade for Chris Paul this month.

British Airways suspends Cairo flights as security precaution
The airline was also among several major carriers to announce in June they would reroute flights to avoid the Strait of Hormuz. The agency said an estimated 415,000 British nationals visited Egypt in 2018 and that most visits were "trouble free".

While the process was extremely public, it wasn't upsetting according to Harden because he knew the truth all along. "It's a new chapter, but I know he's excited. It wasn't upsetting at all", Harden said.

"It was pretty amusing how guys can speculate or just make up false stories on TV".

"Me personally, and I'm sure Chris, as well, we didn't pay any attention to it".

"Chris has been unbelievable these last two years". "He's helped me as a leader, as a mentor, just all that good stuff". I guess it's life. It's the business, things don't work out.
