Opposition is a position in which a planet is on the opposite side of the earth from the sun. On Tuesday, the ringed planet will shine at its maximum brightness and come less than a million miles from Earth.

With the naked eye, Saturn will look look like a bright yellow-white star tonight, according to space.com. If you can't see the planet tonight don't worry it will be visible for several more weeks, but tonight is just the theoretical "peak" since we are at opposition.

Saturn's opposition technically occurs at noon Central time Tuesday afternoon, however, that night it will still be pretty close to that position, so it will still look pretty bright.

Saturn will be visible throughout the entire evening, appearing in the southeast around the same time the sun sets.

Arab airline replaces the 737 MAX for the A320neo
The Boeing 737 Max planes have been grounded since mid-March after two fatal crashes that claimed a total of 346 lives. In the quarter running April, May and June, combined deliveries of 737 models fell to just 24 from 137.

It will appear highest in the sky about midnight but will be visible all night long, setting in the west as the sun begins to rise in the east. If you want to get a more detailed look, space.com recommends using a telescope that magnifies to at least 20 power.

Saturn's opposition will provide good views of the planet during July, August and September.

July will be full of other opportunities to skywatch Saturn: On the nights of July 16 and July 17, the Full Thunder Moon will be illuminated next to the planet, making both space objects easy to spot in the night sky.
