The U.S. Air Force has warned members of a Facebook group that jokingly plans on storming Area 51 in Nevada that the armed forces are "ready to protect America and its assets". This is surprisingly low for an event for which over 1 million people may "attend".

If you aren't familiar, "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us" is the internet sensation du jour with more than a million Facebook accounts marked as "going" to raid the alleged secret government facility on September 20. Time will tell. But the skies are not longer the limit.

Area 51 warning sign.

The event caters to early risers - it's set for 3 a.m.to 6 a.m.

The entire stunt seems amusing until it sinks in that over a million Facebook users have already claimed that they'll be attending the event. "Lets see them aliens", reads the message on the Facebook page of the event.

Ontario's health minister says the flu season will be bad this year
The province is also developing a plan to provide care in hospitals, in community settings and in the homes of those who come down with the flu, she said.

One person, named Jackson Barnes, offered a "game plan" with a diagram for storming the base. He says, "I just thought it would be amusing and get me some thumbsy uppies on the Internet".

In short, it's thought that Area 51 holds all the government secrets about aliens - though the Central Intelligence Agency has published documents confirming its use as a test base.

It's unknown how numerous 1.5 million Facebook attendees would actually travel to the remote location in Nevada for the event, as the page has sparked Internet memes poking fun at the idea of storming the Air Force range for the opportunity to see aliens. He has strongly urged people not to show up there.

Staff Sgt. Christian Nault, 34th Weapons Squadron special mission aviator, searches the area for the landing zone during a Weapons School Integration mission at the Nevada Test and Training Range June 1, 2017. "The only place there was ever any alien technology was at Site S4, south of Area 51 proper".
