Soggy setup ahead, heat relief on the way

A frontal boundary pushing through on Sunday brings rain and thunderstorms to the northern half of our area, but as the day went on everyone was feeling the relief from the heat.

Through the rest of the afternoon heat continues with temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s.

Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of showers/storms.

Monday will also see scattered showers and storms especially along and south of I-80.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of AM showers, then partly sunny.

The incident, involving a group, occurred on a Tube train carriage at Oxford Circus, central London, the BBC reports . Mr Roberts said he had his T-shirt over his mouth because he could not breathe and his girlfriend was "spluttering".

We are keeping our eye on the potential for flooding.

With the front expected to push out into the Gulf on Wednesday we should get a nice break from the summertime heat and humidity as highs will only top out in the mid 80s. Rain will come to an end as we make it into Tuesday afternoon.

Tuesday and Wednesday look attractive with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s. Those overnight temperatures will be cooler as well with lows in the 50s.

Lower pressure across the region has been kicking up more cloud coverage and thunderstorms throughout the day.
