The Toronto Raptors will reportedly submit a claim for Kostas Antetokounmpo off waivers

The Toronto Raptors plan to submit a claim for Kostas Antetokounmpo off waivers, Varlas Nikos of Eurohoops.net reports.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Dallas Mavericks have released forward Kostas Antetokounmpo, who was on a two-way contract. However, Antetokounmpo was selected with the final pick of the 2018 NBA Draft.

The 6-foot-10 forward only played two games with the National Basketball Association club this past season, recording two points (0-3 FG, 2-4 FT), one rebound and two steals in 11 minutes of playing time. Antetokounmpo averaged 10.6 points on 52.2 percent shooting, to go along with 6.3 rebounds per game in 40 games with the G League's Texas Legends.

Bielsa's side will complete their pre-season preparations with a trip to Italian Serie A club Cagliari on Saturday, 27 July. We do not understand and can't decide who will win in this battle Western Sydney Wanderers FC v Leeds United .

During his rookie season, Antetokounmpo appeared in two games in late March with the Mavericks and scored two points.

While he's very much still a raw product, his size and 7-foot-2 wingspan makes him an intreguing prospect.

Antetokounmpo's departure opens one of the Mavericks' two-way contracts, which allows every team to have an additional two players split time between the National Basketball Association and the G-League.
