Some 10,000 tourists were evacuated from a popular party beach on a Croatian island after a forest fire erupted early Tuesday, police said.

Police advised organisers to act after heavy winds threatened to push the blaze closer to the festival site on the island of Pag.

The fire was put under control, posing no more threat to people or buildings. Security have escorted fans to the beach and parking behind Noa Club and will direct people to shuttle buses leaving from the top of Noa Club parking near the main road to take people to Novalja town.

Defensive guru Ron Adams will not have the exact same job description going forward, Myers said. Guys like him don't come along too often and his skillset, his ability, is so unique.

The festival, which began on Monday (15th), was due to run until Thursday (17th), with Tyga, Not3s, Stefflon Don and Hardy Caprio all slated to perform.

It is unclear whether the rest of the festival will be cancelled. USA rapper Tyga was reportedly expected to headline the music festival this year, which takes place across three different venues along the beach on the island of Pag.

They added that emergency services are still trying to contain the fire, "so we can't say just yet how this will affect today's beach performances". In a statement, organisers said they were "doing everything we can to go ahead as planned to continue the parties".
