Westworld season 3: Tessa Thompson, Aaron Paul tease what's next

Westworld Teaser Trailer Season 3

Westworld Teaser Trailer Season 3

In the trailer, which premiered at Comic-Con in San Diego Saturday, Thandie Newton, who won an Emmy for playing Maeve Millay in the series, can be seen wearing 1940s-style clothing and opening a window to show a public square with army tanks and Nazi banners on buildings.

Westworld is giving the first deep-dive look at its mysterious third season. The Season 2 finale, which aired almost a year ago, revealed that William/The Man in Black is (at some point in the future) a host and that Dolores had been reborn in the body of a host created to look like Delos executive Charlotte. Safely on the outside, she began creating host bodies for herself and Bernard (Jeffrey Wright).

The new season picks up right after the events of Season 2, which closed out with Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) successfully leading a host uprising within the confines of Westworld and reaching the real world. The standard man vs machine scenario. I think if you really love someone and care about them, and you're going to work with them... maybe it doesn't work for some people, but it just worked for us.

The trailer also gives us our first glimpse at an all-new park to the show: Warworld.

Blue Jays blast Tigers
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (6) pitches during the first inning against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Hernandez, who has a beard, wasn't so sure. "I can't put into words how much I love Canada any more than I do", he said.

And finally, since Game of Thrones is over forever, I guess there's no better time to recapture those fond medieval memories than by visiting Westeros World...

Okay, so that's clearly not going to be the name of whichever new park Stubbs is getting weaponry from, but it looks so damn cool.

The new season also stars Tessa Thompson, Lena Waithe, Scott Mescudi and Marshawn Lynch, and will return next year.
