The price starts at 249 Euros (~RM1155) and comes with a huge downgrade in terms of display from the Xiaomi Mi A2 and Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite with its 720 x 1560px resolution OLED display (the two phones mentioned comes equipped with 1080p LCD displays).

A number of leaks and rumours suggested that the device will be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Mi CC9 but several reports claimed that the Mi A3 series will sport a better processor than the Mi CC9 series.

The Mi A3 is a re-branded Mi CC9e for the global markets and is a part of the Android One program, running stock Android instead of the company's custom Android skin - MIUI. Powering the Mi A3 is a larger 4,030mAh battery which is 34% larger in capacity than the Mi A2. It will be available first in Spain but no fret as it will be launched in Malaysia on the 31st of July. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, the phone also features a 6.088-inch HD+ AMOLED display which interestingly also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Mi A3 gets a triple rear camera with a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera of the phone is a 32MP selfie shooter placed in the waterdrop-style notch on the top.
