Tucson airport announces nonstop service to Indianapolis

Allegiant announced a new nonstop service from McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) to two cities in Florida.

"The addition of nonstop flights to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport from South Bend International during the cold winter/early spring months will allow residents of the greater South Bend region to enjoy fun in the sun..." "We're certain that area travelers will love having a convenient, affordable option to get to the Sunshine State".

Bishop International Airport in Flint said new, direct flights to Sarasota, Fla., will start this fall.

The airport is celebrating with a 24-hour, one-way sale with fares as low as $69.

The new flights are scheduled to operate twice weekly - on Sundays and Thursdays - and can be booked immediately for travel through April 2020, officials for the airline and airport said.

MidAmerica Airport Director Tim Cantwell said the new route strengthens Allegiant's presence in Southern Illinois and will continue to grow the airport's customer base. "Our July record has been surpassed in August with over 45,000 passengers using the airport".
