Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Getting PS4-Exclusive Gunfight Alpha This Week

The alpha is certainly welcome for Modern Warfare, especially considering how quiet Infinity Ward has been about the game before the multiplayer reveal at the beginning of August. No details as to what modes the September beta will have, but it will in the very least demonstrate how cross play works between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

PS4 players will be able to team up and try out 2v2 Gunfights in the latest Call of Duty soon. The open alpha will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 users as part of Activision's deal with the console.

The alpha will be open to all players (even those without PlayStation Plus) and will take place for one weekend only.

The Alpha is only open to PS4 players.

Music composer Khayyam dies at 92
He had also composed music for actress Meena Kumari's album I Write, I Recite . Khayyam is survived by his singer wife Jagjit Kaur, reports news agency IANS.

Gunfight was the first mode unveiled in regards to Modern Warfare's gameplay, and in keeping up with the pattern, it seems like the mode will be the first thing that fans get to play.

The Alpha will feature 5 Gunfight maps - Speedball, King, Pine, Docks, and Stack.

Modern Warfare promises to be one of the biggest games of the year, and it looks like PS4 players will get the first chance to try it out.

This alpha test will exclusively be focused around Gunfight, the new 2v2 game mode that the team revealed early this year.
