It's the second high-profile quarterback announcement of the day.

No. 4 Oklahoma has named Jalen Hurts its starting quarterback for the September 1 season opener against Houston. Before transferring from Alabama, he played in three national title games.

Wales replace All Blacks at the top of world rankings
The Rugby World Cup is fast approaching and we have a new side at the top of the world rankings. New Zealand's almost ten year reign at the top of the official World Rugby Rankings is over.

Hurts, a graduate transfer with one season of eligibility remaining, beat out highly touted true freshman Spencer Rattler and redshirt freshman Tanner Mordecai for the job.

Perhaps most importantly, in a transfer such as this, Hurts is also the type of player who immediately gained the respect of the Okahoma locker room. Though he was not much of a Heisman contender at Alabama, he is now on the award's shortlist.

In his career, Hurts has completed 62.9% of his passes while throwing 48 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. He has rushed for 1,923 yards and 23 touchdowns while averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
