Having wrapped up his stint in the world's biggest TV show (Game Of Thrones which, er, divided fans as it ended), Kit Harington has, since then largely been spending his time working in the theatre.

The news comes on D23 weekend from Deadline, who has set out its stall by suggesting that the British actor's "next film" will be under the Marvel Studios banner. Marvel Studios is confirmed to have a presence at the event, as is Lucasfilm.

Kit Harington is best known for his role as Jon Snow (a.k.a. Aegon Targaryen) in the record-breaking HBO drama Game of Thrones.

This feels like a flawless fit for Harington, who retains a massive genre fanbase around the world despite the somewhat rocky reception Game of Thrones got in his final season.

As for what MCU movie Kit Harington could star in, there's definitely no shortage of choices, although one we can automatically rule out is Black Widow since it's now filming. And they don't get much bigger than Marvel.

But there are plenty of other Marvel films in the works that could attract Harington, including Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder.
