Here’s when heat index may top 105° this week

Heat advisories are issued when the heat index reaches 105 degrees, but National Weather Service meteorologist Trisha Palmer said Monday that caution is needed even when the index doesn't quite reach that level.

The unsafe heat will continue Tuesday with yet another day of 100-degree temperatures expected.

"These hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat related illnesses especially during outdoor exertion or extended exposure".

It will start to cool off a little again by the weekend but the possibility of fires will be high bevcause of the wind and hot, dry conditions. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m.

The heat index is the actual feel of the combined impact of temperature and humidity.

Developers from all over the industry will be coming together to celebrate just how much System Shock 2 owned. However, with this news it could mean that System Shock remake is nearly ready to be released.

Heat stroke is an emergency, Call 911. "Signs of Heat exhaustion and worse yet, heat stroke, will need to be closely monitored, especially with the elderly and children", according to the NWS.

That means people spending time outdoors should take breaks in the shade, drink plenty of water, wear hats and light-colored clothing, among other precautions, he said.

Forecast high temperatures are 92 degrees Monday, 96 on Tuesday, and 94 on Wednesday. Also, precipitation will cut into the duration of the heat.
