'Little Women' Trailer: See Meryl Streep, Emma Watson in Exclusive First Look

"We wanted it to feel like the movie feels which is both classical and fresh.- writer director Greta Gerwig

The first look at Greta Gerwig's latest adaptation of Little Women is finally here.

Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the author's alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life.

Tie on on your straw hat, fall in love with your next door neighbor, and burn your sister's manuscript-the Little Women trailer is officially here, and it's 2 minutes and 34 seconds of petticoats, handsome New England views, and t-shirt-worthy feminist quotes.

Published in two volumes in 1868 and 1869, Little Women follows the lives of the four March sisters-Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy-as they come of age. The cast also includes Bob Odenkirk, Chris Cooper and James Norton.

"I'm working on a novel", Jo says.

The rule change is meant to reinforce "ideals of self-sufficiency", officials said. Ken Cuccinelli , acting director of U.S.

"And if the main character is a girl, make sure she's married at the end".

However, Jo is determined to prove women are more than just wives.

"Little Women" was big news around MA this past fall, with actors in period-appropriate attire popping up around the Back Bay area and Boston Common as well as prominent Boston spots like the Fairmont Copley Plaza and Arnold Arboretum.

"They were just people".

Finally, we get to see Ronan and Chalamet in action as Jo March and Theodore "Laurie" Laurence, respectively, doing lots of running and frolicking in the new trailer for Little Women finally released by Sony. Chalamet will star opposite Ronan (again) as her neighbor and love interest, Laurie. Share. Interact with a worldwide community of film and TV fans on mobile, social and beyond.
