MLB rumors: Resurrection of the Dark Knight? Ex-Mets ace Matt Harvey finds a new home

Three weeks after he was released by the Angels, Harvey signed a minor-league deal with the A's, who will see if there is any magic left in the former "Dark Knight".

Melissa Lockard of The Athletic is reporting that Harvey will report to Las Vegas to pitch for Oakland's Triple-A team. He was given a one-year deal for $11 million before the season.

He then posted a 6.70 ERA in 2017 and a 7.00 ERA in 27 innings with NY in 2018 before he was traded to the Reds following a demotion to the bullpen and a reported evening at a nightclub before a start. At the time of the trade, Harvey was 0-2 with a 7.00 ERA and had been banished to the bullpen.

Harvey's descent into baseball mediocrity has been nothing short of stunning.

Nicki Minaj Says She'll Marry Kenneth Petty in 'About 80 Days'
Replying to an Instagram comment and slamming the allegations, Nicki wrote: "He was 15, she was 16... in a relationship". She went on to explain that they had both initially filed for a marriage license that expired while she was on the move.

In 2013, he started the All-Star game at Citi Field and finished fourth in voting for the National League Cy Young Award.

He missed 2014 after having Tommy John surgery. He then came back and was very good for NY in 2015 as the Mets made it to the World Series and lost to the Royals in five games. Since then, Harvey's career has been sidetracked by a series of injuries and disappointing seasons.

Harvey lost his spot in the Mets' rotation after four starts previous year and had a 10.50 ERA in four relief appearances.
