They are really looking forward to the opportunity in another country where the conditions will be slightly different again. Prior to that, they finished a World Cup campaign that was nowhere near as bad as it could have been.

"After two years of monthly updates, the Nokia 3 will be the first model to start receiving quarterly updates from September 2019 until September 2020", the Nokia brand licensee noted in its forum. Beginning with the Nokia 3 in September the Nokias 5, 6 and 8 will receive these ongoing quarterly updates from October. These devices have been receiving security updates for nearly 2 years now and HMD is extending that support by another year.

The Nokia 2 will get its last security patch in November of 2019 while Amazon-branded Nokia 6 in the United States and India will get their last security patch in October 2019.

There are some caveats.

Nokia 6: Quarterly updates starting October 2019, ending October 2020. HMD Global has also confirmed that security patch support for the Nokia 2 will conclude in November 2019.
