Porsche Adds Trio Of Hybrids To 2020 Cayenne Model Line

With 670 hp and 663 ft lbs of torque apiece, the Turbo S E-Hybrid and Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe lead the 2020 Cayenne range.

U.S pricing for the regular 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid is $161,900 and if you want the 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe, that starts at $164,400. Visual distinctions come courtesy of Acid Green-coloured brake callipers and the same colouring around their badges.

For the United States market, the models will come nicely equipped with the Sport Chrono Package and ceramic composite brakes.

The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid gets the active roof spoiler from the Cayenne Turbo, while the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe has a fixed spoiler above the rear window and an adaptive spoiler below it. The price is just as high as the output, with the Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe starting at $165,750 including destination. That can extend by 5.3-inches when the speed hits 56 miles per hour or above.

First up is the flagship Turbo S E-Hybrid which produces a whopping 680PS and close to 900Nm of torque from its twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 (550PS) from the Cayenne Turbo coupled with the electric motor (136PS). So far, so Cayenne Turbo, but Zuffenhausen has also thrown in a 136 PS/400 Nm electric motor on top of that, sandwiched between the petrol mill and an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. The same battery is used in other current plug-in hybrid Cayenne models. That's almost $35,000 more than the cost of the standard Cayenne Turbo, although the delta falls closer to $25,000 after accounting for the gasoline-electric model's extra standard features. Optional extras include 22-inch alloy wheels and rear-wheel steering. The charger can refill the 14.1-kWh battery in 2.5 hours on a 240-volt/50-amp connection.

All three new Cayenne derivatives feature plug-in power trains. Eighteen-way adaptive sport seats are standard, too, for a little extra comfort. The seating layout for the standard body style includes a rear bench seat with three seating positions.

Facebook has been listening to users' voice messages without their knowledge
To its credit, Facebook was transcribing the audio to improve its AI's ability to interpret messages and not necessarily push ads. That's led some contractors to feel their work is unethical, according to the people with knowledge of the matter.

Given the Coupe E-Hybrid shares its battery pack with its Turbo S E-Hybrid stablemates, we expect the model to possess an all-electric driving range of around 20 miles before switching over to its gasoline-electric Hybrid Auto drive mode.

The Cayenne E-Hybrid might not have the wild output of the Turbo S E-Hybrid, but it's also significantly less expensive.

An assortment of options will be available including a Lightweight Sport Package.

In addition to the new top models, Porsche also announced the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe today.

On the open road, pure electric driving will give you a speed of up to 135km/hr, acceleration from 0-100km/hr in 3.8 seconds and overall a top speed of 295km/hr.
