CNN anchor Chris Cuomo appears in a video posted to social media on Monday in which he fights back after a man calls him "Fredo".

"Yeah, well if you wanna play, then we'll f--ing play", Cuomo tells him.

SiriusXM's Chris Cuomo hosts a bipartisan conversation with former Governors Christine Todd Whitman and Jennifer Granholm at the SiriusXM Studios on June 18, 2019 in New York City.

Moments later, Trump Jr. tweeted out a video that showed CNN's Ana Navarro calling him (Trump Jr.) "Fredo" on Cuomo's CNN show and Cuomo not saying anything about it, even though he claims that it's "like the n-word".

"What, what you gonna do about it?" the man asked.

"I don't want to have a problem with you, man", the man repeated.

The man then denies comparing Cuomo to "The Godfather" character, claiming he actually thought his real name was Fredo.

The heated argument continued with Cuomo telling the man, "I'll f*cking wreck your sh*t". The man arguing with Cuomo took off his glasses when it looked like a dust-up was about to begin.

China said the anti-government protests that have roiled the city through two summer months had begun to show "sprouts of terrorism".

"What are you going to do about it?" the man says.

"Please do", the man shot back. "You call me "Fredo" it's like I call you punk b-ch, you like that?"

"So you can fucking sue?" "That's a cool f-ing thing" to say?

The video ends with multiple people attempting to separate the two men.

CNN is defending anchorman Chris Cuomo over a video of a confrontation in which Mr. Cuomo goes into a profane tirade and threatens to attack a person who got his name wrong. Cuomo says, inviting the man to take a swing at him. Conservative commentators, including US President Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. derided Cuomo's reaction to being called "Fredo" while dismissing the alleged racial connotation of the word. "We completely support him".

In a statement to Fox News, CNN expressed its full support for its primetime anchor.

CNN spokesman Matt Dornic replied to Trump on Twitter.

If he calls Chris Cuomo that again, he could be sleeping with the fishes. "He deserves the apology".
