Spider-Man Far From Home becomes Sony’s highest grossing film

‘Spider-Man Far From Home’ Tops ‘Skyfall’ on Sony Pictures’ Charts

Labor Day is coming soon, and Sony wants more of your hard-earned money to build up the record-breaking success of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Instead, in exchange for taking the creative lead on producing the standalone Spider-Man movies, the annual fee that Marvel pays Sony to keep the toy and merchandising profits to the Spider-Man character at Marvel would be reduced from $35 million if Spider-Man: Homecoming grossed over $750 million-and it did.

The film, starring Tom Holland as Spider-Man/Peter Parker on a class trip to Europe, opened in early July in the United States, and is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Perhaps, it'll only be a matter of time before Holland takes over, seeing as his journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is far from over. For now, however, I think Sony can rest easy knowing it made the right call in bringing Marvel in to help reboot its prized superhero possession.

Today, we're excited to tell you about our PUBG Season 4 update , coming to PlayStation 4 on August 27. Or you can get the special bundle, PUBG - Aftermath pack ($14,99) from the PlayStation Store.

It was over the course of last week that Spider-Man: Far From Home surpassed 2012's Skyfall (US$1.108 billion)as the highest-grossing Sony Pictures movie ever to be released globally. It is a hit among critics as well.

My guess, though, is that the action scene is one that we saw some snippets of in the trailers: the one in which Spidey faces off against some bad guys (gang members? mafia types?) in a restaurant, the cops show up, and Spider-Man jokes around with New York's finest about how he did their jobs for them before announcing that he's going on vacation.
