The new 90-day trial isn't a limited-time offer - according to Spotify, it's here to stay.

You can now try Spotify Premium free for three months rather than one, giving you longer to sample the service and decide if it's right for you. Instead, this will be the new, permanent trial period for new Spotify Premium users.

The new three-month free trial of Spotify Premium is now available worldwide for individual and student plans. If Eight Mile Style wins, Spotify is really going to need the extra revenue new Premium subscriptions from this extended trial will hopefully bring.

If you have yet to try Spotify Premium, now's the ideal time to give the music streaming service a go as the free trial has just been tripled from one to three months.

"Music and podcasts play an important role in people's lives so we wanted to give users the first 3 months for free to fully enjoy everything that Spotify Premium has to offer". Once the trial ends, the price for a Premium subscription is still $9.99 a month. Spotify already has quite a lot of subscribers in the United States, but to make it harder for the competition to catch up, the company announced that beginning August 22, eligible users will receive the first three months for free. Users can also get pre-paid plans starting as low as Rs 13 a day to Rs 1,189 per year.

"These moments show our commitment to providing our Premium subscribers with the best experience and allowing more listeners around the world access to all that Premium has to offer".
