U.S. has released the trailer for its "Bourne" franchise spinoff series, "Treadstone", and we quickly learn that a legion of "sleeper agents" are waking up to discover that they've become superhuman assassins. Their ordinary cover lives, which they believed to be real, are thrown into chaos when they are activated to perform deadly missions.

The series is a spinoff from the popular action franchise, Jason Bourne, which was based on the novel, The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum.

The Jason Bourne franchise is slowly proving that it doesn't even need Jason Bourne to get people to watch. Treadstone was officially shut down after the events surrounding Jason Bourne exposed it. The characters come from a different arm of Treadstone, and Bourne's destruction of the black-ops program is likely going to be a driving force in the series.

Irvine is best known for his role in War Horse and Mamma Mia 2.

The cast includes Jeremy Irvine, Brian J. Smith, Omar Metwally, and Patrick Fugit - at least as far as has been announced to date, none of the actors from the Bourne films and its Treadstone are slated to appear.

Manufacturing and construction activity also reduced to cause the drop. Within that sector, manufacturing fell by 2.3%. Experts expected growth to be flat.

Also set for the series Han Hyo-Joo, Michelle Forbes, and Emilia Schüle.

On Friday, USA Network released the first teaser for Treadstone on YouTube, which promises a lot of action, undercover missions, and auto chases.

Treadstone premieres on USA Network in October.

Tim Kring will helm the project as the writer and executive producer.

As star Ben J. Smith explained to Entertainment Weekly, "These Cicadas have very different trajectories upon finding themselves "awakened" over a decade after volunteering for a black-ops program of which they have no memory". Treadstone premieres sometime this fall.
