Hope Survivor Gets Justice: Mayawati Akhilesh Yadav On Unnao Rape Case

Actress-turned-politician Jaya Bachchan was recently seen at a protest rally seeking justice for the Unnao rape victim who was involved in Sunday's road-truck accident.

The accident took place when the woman, who has accused the BJP MLA of raping her when she was a minor on the pretext of arranging a job for her, was returning after meeting her uncle Mahesh Singh lodged in the Rae Bareli prison.

But during the protest, Jaya was seen smiling with the group of politicians.

"From which angel they look as if they are asking for justice they seem to be enjoying", a Twitter user commented after watching Jaya Bachchan's pictures from the protest rally.

A lot of tweets started floating around and trolling Jaya and other people.

The Chief Justice of India has sought a report on the letter written by the family members of the Unnao rape victim alleging they were being threatened by the accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar to settle the matter. The CBI has taken over the accident case and booked Sengar and 10 others in this connection.

The smartphone is expected to launch in India as well in coming months but when exactly Vivo is yet to make it clear. It's a sweet budget offering with a punch-hole display and triple rear cameras, which is called Vivo Z5x in China.

The FIR against all of them has been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code including murder (302), attempt to murder (307), criminal intimidation (506) and criminal conspiracy (120B).

The case has been an embarrassment for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party, which is in power in the state and nationally.

The state legislator, Kuldeep Singh Sengar, has denied the accusation of rape and any involvement in the vehicle crash that has brought the case back into the public spotlight. A day after the truck owner was linked to Samajwadi Party, one of the named accused, Arun Singh, block pramukh of Nawabganj, was found to be the minister's son-in-law.

Ram Singh, CBI's Additional Superintendent of Police in Lucknow, has been asked to carry out the investigation. While chargesheets have been filed in these cases, the fourth one on allegations of gang-rape by three men, including Sengar's aide, is under probe. Heavy security arrangements were made during the cremation of the victim's aunts.

The 19-year-old woman is fighting for her life in hospital after the auto she was in was smashed by a truck in her northern home state of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, killing two of her aunts and severely injuring her lawyer. Another CBI team went to Unnao to record the statement of the survivor's uncle, Mahesh, who was granted parole to attend his wife's funeral, and truck driver Ashish Pal and cleaner Mohan Srinivas in Rae Bareli.
