Powering the device is a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor and it too has an option to upgrade to the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU.

The Acer Swift 3 still starts lightweight as well, just edging out the Swift 5, at 1.19 kg (2.62 pounds).

The Swift 5 can come configured with up to an Intel Core i7-1065G7, one of the new 10th Generation Ice Lake processors.

The Acer Swift 5 has a USB-C port that supports Thunderbolt 3 and a fingerprint reader that supports Windows Hello. It comes with a four-sided NanoEdge display with a remarkable 94% screen-to-body ratio allowing Asus to it a 14-inch screen into a compact 13-inch profile. Acer offers its own suite of color enhancement technologies such as Acer Color Intelligence and Acer ExaColor for life-like colors. The Acer Swift 5 is a 14-inch laptop in a lightweight magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis.

Acer already showed a prototype of the Ice Lake-powered Swift 5 during Computex 2019.

MI to become the first state to ban flavored e-cigarettes
The measure goes into effect in the next 30 days and bars the sale of any flavoured vaping products in retail stores and online. Ron Wyden of OR announced federal legislation that would tax e-cigarettes in the same way as traditional cigarettes.

The Acer Swift 3 will be available from September end starting from €799.

Acer is also claiming 12.5 hours of battery life, likely thanks to tapping into the improved efficiency of Intel's 10th-gen Core chips.

Outside of that, it's pretty much a standard 14in ultraportable, with a Full HD display, 8GB of RAM and storage that goes up to 512GB of PCIe SSD space. The Swift 5 model will stay light while also offering a modern processor (CPU) and the option for discrete graphics.

According to Acer, the Swift 5 will be available in EMEA in September starting at Euro 899 (about RM4,157) and in North America in November with a starting price of United States dollars 899.99 (about RM3,778). It also supports fast charging that can provide up to 4.5 hours of use with a 30-minute charge, according to Acer.
