Amway Coaches Poll Top 25: Where is Texas ranked?

Following a record setting night from Jalen Hurts, and with help from an improving defense, the Sooners stayed at No. 4 in the recently released Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

However, after a win over Louisville on Monday night, given the lackluster performance by the former No. 8 Florida in Week Zero, Notre Dame moved up to No. 8, just behind MI. The other three unchanged spots in the national rankings after Week 1 belong to No. 5 Ohio State, LSU and MI.

The biggest dropper within the poll was OR, who fell five spots after losing to no. 13 Auburn in the closing seconds of their opening game. Auburn and Boise State both moved up three spots to No. 13 and No. 24 respectively.

No. 6 LSU vs No. 9 Texas will join No. 1 Clemson vs No. 10 Texas A&M as ranked matchups in Week 2.

Michigan State is the 6th-highest rated Big Ten team in the Amway Coaches Poll, behind Ohio State (5th), Michigan (7th), Penn State (14th), Wisconsin (16th) and Iowa (19th).
