Sorry buds, still no native sleep tracking with the Series 5.

Frank Gillett, principal analyst at Forrester, told CNN Business that the Series 5 "improvements were very compelling for new and upgrade buyers, especially the always-on display and the expanding range of health monitoring features". It works similarly to the older watches with the screen coming to life when you raise your wrist.

The only other new physical addition is the option to get a Series 5 with a titanium chassis. But the space black and brushed titanium versions of the Series 5 are downright stunning, and Apple brought back the classic ceramic white for old-school Apple Watch fans (old-school as in four years ago, but old-school nonetheless). It is powered by Apple's new 64-bit dual-core S5 processor, said to be up to 2 times faster than the S3 processor.

The first is a built-in compass. There's also a pretty big internal change to the Apple Watch Series 5 that might convince you to upgrade.

New iPhone 11 to be unveiled at Apple event
If you don't already have the Apple Events app installed, go to the App Store on your Apple TV and search for " Apple Events". To subscribe to Apple TV+, customers must update to iOS 12.3 or later, tvOS 12.3 or later and macOS Catalina.

You can also pick it up in stainless steel for a higher price - $699 / AU$1,099 with a sport loop or sport band, $749 / AU$1,179 with a Milanese loop, or $799 / AU$1,259 with a leather loop. The Maps app will integrate the compass to show the correct facing direction as well. Joining the ranks of other heath features, like early warnings based on ECG readings and fall detection, is the ability to make an emergency call on any cellular Apple Watch around the world. And when we say "major redesign" we mean that it was major in the sense that it was different from previous models.

Apple added a new compass app and functionality, and it supports worldwide emergency calling for emergencies overseas. There is a new app to track menstrual cycles for women to monitor their fertility.

Noise App - Helping users to understand the ambient sound levels around them and warning them if noise levels could negatively impact their hearing. That's cool and all, though the Apple Watch still doesn't have a dedicated watch face store like most of its competitors. The fifth iteration of Apple's smartwatch starts at $399 for the Global Positioning System only model and $499 for the Global Positioning System and cellular version. The GPS + Cellular model is limited the United States and 20 other countries and regions.

Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Series 3 isn't going anywhere and will be available for just $199.
