Deadly Premonition sequel is coming to Nintendo Switch, original now out on eShop

Of all the things I never expected to see pop up in a Nintendo Direct, a sequel to the cult favorite horror mystery game Deadly Premonition is at the very top.

Judging by the footage shown during that livestream, the sequel will star Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Aaliyah Davis as the protagonist, as well as agent Francis York Morgan, who was the main character in the first game. He'll serve as both director and writer on Deadly Premonition 2. It first came out in 2010, and its intrinsic weirdness that strode the line between Twin Peaks inspired weirdness, janky video game weirdness, and warmhearted comedy weirdness instantly captivated fans of, well, weird games. And yes, we're just as shocked as you are.

Deadly Premonition seemed to evoke a bygone era of video games when "budget" titles could still capture big audiences.

I said Wigan needed a more experienced rugby league coach than me, and I was right - they are now doing well. Me and Lammy are still close friends and message each other after matches.

The highly-anticipated "sequel" (it's actually is meant to be a prequel) to Deadly Premonition will follow Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Aaliyah Davis as she investigates a serial killer case in Boston.
