Greg Taylor: Celtic agree fee with Kilmarnock for transfer

Celtic have agreed a fee for Kilmarnock defender Greg Taylor, according to The Scottish Daily Mail's chief football writer Stephen McGowan.

The left-back is now with the Scotland squad in Edinburgh preparing for the Euro 2020 qualifying double-header against Russian Federation and Belgium awaiting news.

Taylor is said to have already completed a medical ahead of a move so hopefully there won't be too much delay in getting this one done ahead of the midnight transfer deadline.

Hoops fans have bemoaned the lack of arrivals at Celtic Park all summer long but the board has certainly done well to bring in talented players to Parkhead in the final stretch of the transfer window albeit mostly on loan deals.

Broadfoot signed a three-year contract in 2017 after leaving Rotherham but is now a free agent. He made 43 appearances and scored 6 goals for Rangers last season and was one of their best players.

Elsewhere, it is understood that Celtic are interested in signing Jeremie Frimpong from Manchester City on a permanent deal.

Kent enjoyed an excellent season on loan at Ibrox in 2018/19, culminating in him winning PFA Scotland's Young Player of the Year award.
