LeBron's 'Taco Tuesday' trademark filing denied

The United States Patent & Trademark Office denied LeBron James' request to trademark the phrase "Taco Tuesday", according to files obtained by lawyer Josh Gerben.

The denial comes mostly on the premise that "Taco Tuesday", is a "commonplace message" that can not be trademarked.

If you follow LeBron James on social media, then you'd know that Tuesday is a great day in his household as it marks Taco Tuesday. Just because they don't technically own the concept doesn't mean there isn't a way for them to turn a profit on LeBron's Taco Tuesday following. He belts out the term weekly on Instagram videos. The videos became something of a social media sensation, with James making special "It's Taco Tuesday" T-shirts and new Lakers forward Anthony Davis even making a special guest appearance.

Chinese woman guilty of trespassing at Trump's Mar-a-Lago
The woman told Willy Isidore she planned to visit the club, but he told her that was impossible unless she had an invitation. The passports were then passed on to Mar-a-Lago security who attempted to verify that Zhang was on the club's "access list".

If you're unfamiliar, over the a year ago or so, James has famously taken to Instagram to show off his family's taco night, featuring him exuberantly yelling "It's taco Tuuuuuesday", then panning around to the rest of the table and encouraging his loved ones to do the same - they often do so, perhaps reluctantly.

James, who uses the term on social media, applied for the trademark through his LBJ Trademarks company.
